To book a Tasheer appointment, go to vc.tasheer.com, choose your country, open Appointment, then Schedule, and pick your visa type, centre, date and time. Booking is free. In Pakistan a family visit visa costs PKR 34,619 at the centre before medical insurance, and every applicant aged 6 to 80 gives fingerprints in person. Tasheer runs the official Saudi visa service centres in 74 countries, including Pakistan (where many people still call them Etimad), India, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
Many expats in Saudi Arabia do the paperwork here (the MOFA application, the chamber attestation, the insurance) and then find that the family back home is stuck on the last step: the Tasheer slot. This guide covers that step from both ends, so the sponsor in the Kingdom and the family at home know exactly what to bring and what it costs.

What Is Tasheer and Who Needs an Appointment
Tasheer is the company that runs the Saudi visa service centres for the Saudi missions abroad. It checks documents, fills in the visa form on the Visa Platform (Enjaz) for you, takes biometrics, collects the fees and sends the passport to the embassy or consulate. Tasheer lists 126 centres in 74 countries.
You need a Tasheer appointment for almost every visa that starts outside the Kingdom: family visit, personal visit, resident (family or dependant iqama), work, temporary work, business and others on the booking form. The booking site lists the visa types, and the Saudi embassy decides the validity, number of entries and length of stay when it processes the file.
In Pakistan, Tasheer and Etimad are the same thing. The local centres are still widely called Etimad, but booking for all six Pakistan centres is on vc.tasheer.com. Third-party sites that offer “Etimad appointments” for a fee are not needed.

Follow on WhatsAppHow to Book a Tasheer Appointment Online
The booking takes about ten minutes once the MOFA visa application has been approved. Keep the approval (pre-approval or invitation), the sponsor’s iqama copy and each applicant’s passport next to you.
- Open vc.tasheer.com and select your country and language. The menus and centres change with the country you pick.
- Go to Appointment, then Schedule (direct link: vc.tasheer.com/appointment).
- Choose the applicant’s nationality, the visa type (for example Family Visit, Resident or Work), the number of entries and the visa validity.
- A table shows the earliest Normal and Lounge date for each city. Pick the centre that suits you and tap Continue.
- Enter the applicant details exactly as they appear in the passport and on the MOFA approval. A spelling difference here causes trouble at the counter.
- Choose the date and time, confirm, and print the appointment letter. Book one slot per applicant.
On 12 October 2026 the Pakistan table showed normal family visit slots for the very next day in all six cities, while lounge slots ran from 13 to 27 October depending on the city. Tasheer itself says most centres are booked 3 to 5 days ahead, so check the table on the day you book rather than relying on someone’s WhatsApp forward.
Normal or Lounge? Normal is the standard service. Lounge (premium) costs extra, has its own slots and accepts walk-ins while it has capacity. If you are not blocked and the dates suit you, normal is enough.
Reschedule, Cancel or Reprint a Tasheer Appointment Letter
All three are in the Appointment menu on vc.tasheer.com: Reprint Letter, Cancel Appointment and Reschedule Appointment. Tasheer notes that cancelling or rescheduling is not offered in a few countries.
The rules from the Tasheer FAQ are strict, so read them before you move a slot:
- You can reschedule or cancel only up to the day before the appointment.
- A change made within 3 days of the appointment blocks normal booking for 7 days; only Lounge is open to you in that time.
- A no-show also blocks normal booking for 7 days.
- More than 5 changes blocks normal booking for 14 days.
- Arrive 15 minutes early. A late arrival can mean the appointment is cancelled, upgraded to Lounge at extra cost, or a 7-day wait.
If you started an application and did not finish it, choose Retrieve Application while scheduling; Tasheer sends a verification code. This is also not available in every country.
Documents Required for a Tasheer Appointment in Pakistan
These lists are from Tasheer’s official documents required page for a Pakistani national at the Islamabad centre. Select your own centre and visa type on that page before you go, because each mission can add items.
Family visit visa
- Original passport valid for at least 6 months, with 2 blank pages side by side.
- 2 photos, 2 x 2 inch (51 x 51 mm), white background, not older than 3 months.
- Copy of the MOFA family visit approval. The name and passport number must match the passport.
- Copy of the sponsor’s passport and iqama (a Jawazat or Muqeem print if the iqama shows no expiry date).
- Proof of relationship attested by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for example the NADRA Family Registration Certificate. Marriage or birth certificates issued in Saudi Arabia need Saudi MOFA attestation.
- Unmarried certificate on e-stamp paper for a female applicant over 15.
- Copies of the applicant’s passport and CNIC.
Timing: submit at least one week before the MOFA approval expires. Tasheer does not accept later applications, and many families lose the approval this way.
Resident visa (family joining on a dependant iqama)
- The same passport, photo, sponsor and relationship documents as above, plus a copy of the pre-approval (the “yellow slip”).
- You can submit only 14 days after the pre-approval was issued.
- Original medical report for applicants over 18 from a centre approved by the Saudi mission (booked through Wafid).
- Vaccination cards for children under 18 from a government hospital, signed and stamped by the DHO.
- Unmarried certificate for females over 15 from the Union Council, attested by Pakistan MOFA.
The sponsor’s side of this visa (Absher request, Muqeem approval, SAR 379 MOFA fee) is in our permanent family visa guide.
Work visa
- Original passport and a copy (6 months validity, 2 blank pages).
- Copy of the E-Number.
- Original CNIC.
- Medical report: Tasheer requires one for work, temporary work, resident and educational visas, and a medical is valid for 2 months.
Tasheer Fees in Pakistan 2026
Tasheer publishes its fees by centre on the visa fees page. These are the official figures for a Pakistani national at the Islamabad centre, read on 12 October 2026. In Pakistan you pay at the counter on the day.
| Family visit visa (Islamabad) | PKR |
|---|---|
| Visa fee (SAR 300) | 23,220 |
| Application fee | 3,050 |
| Service fee, normal appointment | 7,260 |
| Sales tax on the service fee | 1,089 |
| Total before insurance | 34,619 |
| Lounge service fee (optional) | 10,890 + 1,633.50 tax |
| Courier (optional) | 1,310 + 196.50 tax |
| SMS updates (optional) | 260 + 39 tax |
Medical insurance is not in this table. It is a CCHI-approved policy bought at the centre and priced at submission by age, gender, validity and entries. Budget for it on top of the PKR 34,619. Our guide to visit visa medical insurance explains what it covers once your family is in the Kingdom.
A personal visit visa uses the same lines. A resident visa shows an application fee of PKR 3,050, a medical fee of PKR 3,050 and the PKR 7,260 service fee plus tax, with no visa-fee line at Tasheer. A work visa shows only the service fee of PKR 1,320 plus PKR 198 tax, because the employer pays the visa. To see what the riyal amounts mean in rupees today, use our SAR to PKR converter.
Tasheer fees in India
Tasheer’s India fee page did not list centre fees when we checked on 12 October 2026, so ask your centre for the current amounts before you go. The site confirms that UPI and card payments are accepted at all Indian centres. The SAR 300 family visit visa fee is the same, converted to rupees; our SAR to INR converter gives today’s rate.
Tasheer Centres in Pakistan and India
All centres work Monday to Friday. In Pakistan there is a Friday prayer break from 1 pm to 2 pm. Addresses are from the official visa centres page.

| India city | Centre |
|---|---|

What Happens on the Day at the Tasheer Centre
- Arrive 15 minutes early with the printed appointment letter and the original documents.
- Reception checks the documents and gives you a token.
- At the counter you pay the fees and the staff fill in the visa form on the Visa Platform (Enjaz) for you. You do not register on Enjaz yourself.
- You give biometrics: fingerprints and a face photo.
- Tasheer sends the passport and file to the Saudi embassy or consulate. Keep the original invoice-cum-receipt; you need it to collect the passport.
Who gives biometrics: every applicant, except children under 6, people over 80 and diplomatic passport holders. For an applicant under 6 or over 80, a first-degree relative can submit the application on their behalf. Everyone else must attend in person, so a father cannot submit for his 10-year-old without the child.
The Saudi Visa Bio app lets some travellers enrol biometrics on their phone, but its store listing covers Umrah. Do not skip the centre for a family visit, resident or work visa on the strength of the app.
No More Visa Sticker: What You Travel With
Tasheer no longer puts a Saudi visa sticker in the passport for these countries. The Saudi foreign ministry moved work, residence and visit visas to an electronic visa with a QR code: India, Bangladesh and the Philippines from May 2023, then Pakistan from 24 July 2023, Nepal from 14 August 2023 and Sri Lanka from 21 August 2023 (Gulf News and The National reported both phases). Stickers issued earlier stay valid.
So “visa stamping” now means submitting at Tasheer and receiving the e-visa. Once it is issued you can check and print it by passport number; our Saudi visa check guide shows how, and MOFA’s visa platform has an application inquiry.
After the Appointment: Tracking and Passport Collection
Tasheer does not publish an official processing time, and it cannot speed up a file: the embassy decides. Track progress with Track Status on vc.tasheer.com, or pay for SMS updates at the counter.
- Collect the passport with the original receipt. Someone else can collect with a signed authorisation letter (the form is under Download Forms).
- Courier delivery is optional and costs extra.
- A passport not collected within 30 days, or after 2 failed courier attempts, is sent back to the mission.
Once your family has the visa, the next steps are on the Saudi side: arrival, then either an Absher visit visa extension or, for dependants, the iqama within 90 days.
Common Tasheer Problems and How to Avoid Them
- Name or passport number mismatch. The MOFA approval must match the passport exactly. Fix the approval before booking, not at the counter.
- Approval about to expire. For a family visit visa, submit at least a week before the approval expires. For a resident visa, wait until 14 days after the pre-approval.
- Booking blocked. A no-show or a late change locks you out of normal slots for 7 days, and more than 5 changes for 14 days. Pick a date you can keep.
- Unattested relationship documents. Get the Family Registration Certificate or marriage and birth certificates attested by Pakistan MOFA before the appointment.
- Budget surprises. The fee table excludes insurance. Carry enough for insurance and optional extras such as photos or courier.
- Expired medical. A medical report is valid for 2 months, so do not book the medical too early for work or resident visas.
Before the Appointment: What the Sponsor in Saudi Arabia Does
Tasheer is the last step. The sponsor in the Kingdom first applies for the visa online with Nafath on KSA Visa, pays the SAR 300 visa fee for a family visit and sends the approval home. Our family visit visa guide walks through that part, and the cost of living calculator helps if you are planning a longer family stay.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a Tasheer appointment?
Book a Tasheer appointment on vc.tasheer.com: choose your country, open Appointment, then Schedule, select your nationality and visa type, pick a centre, date and time, and print the appointment letter. Booking is free; the visa and service fees are paid at the centre.
How much are Tasheer fees in Pakistan for a family visit visa?
At the Islamabad centre, a family visit visa costs PKR 34,619 before medical insurance: PKR 23,220 visa fee (SAR 300), PKR 3,050 application fee and a PKR 7,260 service fee plus PKR 1,089 tax. Medical insurance is priced at the counter by age and validity, and is added on top of this total.
How do I reprint my Tasheer appointment letter?
Go to vc.tasheer.com, choose your country, then open Appointment and select Reprint Letter. Enter the details you used when booking to download the letter again. Bring the printed letter, your original passport and all the listed documents to the centre on the day.
Can I reschedule or cancel a Tasheer appointment?
Yes, through Appointment, then Cancel Appointment or Reschedule Appointment on vc.tasheer.com, up to the day before your slot. A change within 3 days of the appointment, or a no-show, blocks normal bookings for 7 days, and more than 5 changes blocks them for 14 days.
Do children need to go to Tasheer for biometrics?
Children under 6 and people over 80 do not give biometrics, and a first-degree relative can submit their application for them. Everyone aged 6 to 80 must attend the Tasheer centre in person for fingerprints and a face photo, so book a slot for each family member.
Does Tasheer still stamp the Saudi visa in the passport?
No. Saudi Arabia replaced passport visa stickers with an electronic visa carrying a QR code, from May 2023 for India and from 24 July 2023 for Pakistan. You still visit Tasheer to submit documents and give biometrics, then travel with the printed e-visa, which you can check by passport number.
Fees, documents, centres and rules are from the official Tasheer site (vc.tasheer.com) as read on 12 October 2026. Tasheer and the Saudi missions change them without notice, so confirm your centre’s page before you go.
