Saudi Arabia’s national airline, Saudia, has secured a place among the world’s top 15 airlines in 2026, according to the latest Skytrax World Airline Awards.
Saudia ranked 15th globally, continuing its improvement in international airline rankings over the past few years. The airline previously ranked 20th in 2024 before moving up to 17th in 2025.
Saudia Moves Up in Global Airline Rankings
The latest ranking represents another improvement for Saudia as the carrier continues to expand and enhance its passenger services.
Its recent Skytrax rankings show steady progress:
- 2024: 20th
- 2025: 17th
- 2026: 15th
The 2026 recognition places the Saudi flag carrier among some of the highest-ranked airlines worldwide.
Saudia Wins Two Middle East Airline Awards
Alongside its global ranking, Saudia also received two regional honors at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards.
The airline was recognized for:
- Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East — for the second consecutive year
- Best Airline Cabin Crew in the Middle East
These awards recognize the airline’s passenger service and cabin crew performance across the Middle East aviation sector.
Saudia Highlights Service and Hospitality
Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, said the latest recognition reflects the airline’s continued progress and improving position within the global aviation industry.
He also highlighted the role of Saudia employees in representing Saudi culture and hospitality through the service provided to passengers.
According to Al-Omar, Saudia plans to continue investing in its workforce, technology and internationally recognized service standards as part of efforts to improve the passenger experience and strengthen its competitiveness.
Saudia Continues Its Global Expansion
Saudia’s rise from 20th place in 2024 to 15th in 2026 comes as the Kingdom continues developing its aviation and tourism sectors.
The airline’s latest Skytrax recognition further strengthens its international profile while highlighting improvements in passenger service, cabin crew performance and overall travel experience.
